RE: [RC] last call: Letter to AHA - heidiWOW!!! I wonder just how many #1 to 1000 members are still around and still riding! Maybe we should have an Ambassadors club or something. It just goes to show you that this is a lifelong addiction. I think that would be really fun! As I recall, that first set of numbers went slightly over 1000--but again, I'll bet Joe knows where the cutoff point is. I DO know that sort of info fairly recently for PNER--they started in 1974 with #101 (which was Jon Sumerlin--no longer riding). Members of the "100s club" there are Bill Ansenburger (#114, still a member but not riding), Cole and Charlotte Still (not in this year's handbook, but were still members last year, although Charlotte has not ridden for awhile), Lew and Hanne Hollander (#112 and 113), CJ Johnson (#142--also not riding), and me (#189). Now I REALLY feel old.... I've thought about doing a trivia contest in the PNER News, listing the three-digit PNER numbers and seeing how many people can come up with names to match the numbers, without going to their handbooks... <g> Heidi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
