[RC] CalStar Helicopter Serv. Auburn - Steven ProeHi Carol: Here is the Link, to CALSTAR. http://www.calstar.org/ They were offering a subscription a few months ago, a really inexpensive price if you thought that you may have a need. I also have Kaiser and when ever I call them(Kaiser) there is a message given that I believe covers the type of event that you were involved with as the Agency that took care of you ask for CalStar. hth steven ----- Original Message ----- From: Carol To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 2004 11:19 PM Subject: [RC] helicopter insurance for horses Does anyone know the name of the helicopter company near Auburn that provides service to airlift and rescue horses that have fallen off cliffs? I recently got my bill from Cal Star for my lifeflight to Sutter hospital and it was $10,800. Hopefully this will be covered by my Kaiser insurance, but then after this weekend and what happened at the WS50 I started thinking about my horse. My horses are like my babies and if they fell off a cliff and were salvagable I would want them airlifted out of there also, only I wouldn't want to spend $10,000 on them. I ride these trails all the time so the insurance would be worth it. Thanks for any info. in advance.
