==========================================

The last 3 foals I have had had absolutely NO squirts at all. I wormed the
mare the day after foaling and again 10 days later, making sure it was a wormer
for pregnant or lactating mares. NO SQUIRTS. 2 fillys one colt, 2 different
mamas.
Neighbor had filly who had squirts on about 6th day. Cleaned her up carefully,
used lots of Desitin, and encouraged owner to repeat numerous times a day.
Gave filly probiotic orally and then gave her about 30cc's of Pepto Bismal,
with a repeat about 20 hours later. Everything got back to normal and the
scalding on butt healed up quickly. I couldn't convince her to worm the mare.
I don't remember where I learned to worm the mare so soon after foaling, but I
owe R. Vince Jessup, DVM of Burbank for alot of what I have learned. Perhaps he
gave me this gem, also. I really miss him, as he passed in spring of 2001.
