[RC] Tevis trail - mrsdI've been putting bag balm on my right side from the chain link massage that I just recieved.. If you really want info, buy Julie Suhr's great book-- 10 feet tall. It is very informative and the proceeds go for trail support. Bring up the Tevis site and read what they have to say about the trail. Hall Hall's trail guide is truly excellent. Video of the 2000 / 200l ride will be quite informative. Come up to the ride and crew or help someone who is riding. Drive to Michigan Bluff and hike backwards on the trail to the Devil's Thumb and if you feel up to it go on down the next canyon and up to Last Chance. BUT DON'T DO IT THE DAY OF THE RIDE.....Best way is to find a good horse and enter the ride for next year. If it is your first ride you will join some of us who did it that way before glo-bars, helmets and GPS etc. You will wake up with wet palms after a good dream. That red dirt makes me sweat every time I get close to Auburn..Yes it isn't easy but it is the ultimate endurance ex-perience. Dick Dawson -- First try 1971. First Finish 1974. Ride .... really ride. I hate chain link fence.... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
