Re: [RC] Garmin Foreruner 201 - AprilHi, Pam, Since the Forerunner is primarily a runner's unit, the default is to show a= ?pace (how long it takes to run a mile at your current speed). But you can= ?show MPH (they call it "speed") if you prefer, which of course, I do. The quickest way to switch between the two is to turn on your unit and get= ?to a screen that shows a pace field. (so you can see 10:00/mi). Then press= ?and hold the MODE button until it switches to MPH and let go. The reason I posted to RC is the following: There is a rather active Yahoo group created specifically for Forerunner= ?(and now Foretrex) users. They are quite friendly and there are plenty of= ?tips and support for new users. Post your question or search the archives.= ?Most likely things you want to know have been discussed. http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/GarminF/ April Nashville, TN On Tue, 06 Jul 2004 12:51:28 -0400, shgerbey wrote: just used my forerunner for the first time yesterday...can anyone help me as to tell how fast I am going with it...it has pace but how do you tell mph... pam =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
