Please be careful, and try not to get into personal arguments on the list. True, and although I'm dismayed by what has been happening in this area in our society at large, I would not discuss that here. But now some people have called for not having invocations at rides because -- they would be offended? As it says in the old story, now they've "quit preachin' and gone to meddlin'." Now they are trying to take away something that many of us find a beautiful and moving part of a ride experience, instead of just ignoring it if they don't share the sentiments. And I object to that -- strenuously. We must speak up to defend things we value when they come under attack, or we'll lose them. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
