Re: [RC] [RC] ? Fwd: Soaking beat pulp question - RDCARRIEIn a message dated 7/2/2004 10:46:18 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Tshuck64@xxxxxxx writes: I will soak the morning feeding the night before, ....I am concerned about the night feeding, can I safely soak the night feeding all day if I keep it in the shade? Just curious, is there a reason why you soak it so long? We feed the shredded beet pulp (mixed with Strategy pellets), and we mix it with water right before we feed it. We give it maybe 3 or 4 minutes to soak, and then give it to the horses. It will continue slowly soaking up water for maybe another 5 minutes, but most of the water is absorbed in the first 3-4 minutes. We just put some extra water on it when we give it to them, to allow for it continuing to absorb. We haven't had any problems.
