Re: [RC] AERC points - heidiCan someone explain AERC points to me please. My daughter, Tara finished her first 50 at the American River Ride. This was her (& my) first ride. She is a junior (11) and her record shows 50 division points, but 0 overall points. What is the reason she has no overall points? Thanks, Kathy Because overall points are really senior points that are not broken down into weight divisions. Our overall points are based on where we placed in relationship to all the other senior riders, regardless of weight division. The juniors are in their own list/division altogether, competing for points only against each other. Example: The first rider across the line is a LW. 2nd is a MW. 3rd is a HW. 4th is a LW. 5th is a junior. I'm 6th and I'm a HW. 1st rider would get 1st overall and 1st LW. 2nd rider would get 2nd overall and 1st MW. 3rd rider would get 3rd overall and 1st HW. 4th rider would get 4th overall and 1st FW. 5th rider would get 1st junior, and no overall. I would get 5th overall because I'm 5th senior, and 2nd HW. Make sense? The overall points should probably actually be called overall senior points...
