[RC] riding log - kay mathewsWe always keep a log on all the horses. It's just a calendar with wide squares. We log mileage, temperature, time, shoeing and horse's attitude or whatever else seems important. This includes any competition. One day we had this discussion while out on a training ride about how much riding we had been doing. When the log was consulted, we hadn't been nearly as diligent as our minds thought! It was hot, you see, and it seemed much more often (and longer) than it truly was. A log is a good tool. When we ask if the horse is ready to go (to a ride) we consult the log and see exactly how much training was actually done. k=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
