[RC] favorite complaint - Robin & Mary-Anne Dorchester

Hi all,

For a few years I was responsible for collecting and summarizing ride evaluations in our area (not AERC).  My all time favourite complaint from a rider was that there was not enough watermelon at a particular ride.

If I recall correctly, that year watermelon was about $7 for one of the little round melons (not the big oval ones).  I figured the riders were lucky to get any watermelon at all at that price.

My husband and I have managed a few rides and let me say this,  things have to be pretty bad at a ride to warrant complaining.  Most rides have areas that need improvement but usually, it's nothing serious.  It takes a tremendous amount of time, labour and $$ to put on a ride.  IMO, if the trail is good and marked ok, the vets show up and there's someone to pulse your horse, it's well on it's way to being a good ride.
