For anyone that wants to wade through this article, which is very
informative, here is some good information about Repelling mosquitoes.  In
this study, it was specifically for mosquitoes, so keep that in mind when
thinking about using natural based products for other types of biting
insects.  The essential oil products can react quite differently with other
nasty horse flies, deer flies etc.  I have still had good results with the
Buzz off on the big biting insects.
Happy reading...... notice the second to the last page that says, " Deet is
also a plasitcizer, capable of dissolving watch crystals, the frames of
glasses, and certain synthetic fabrics."
Boy, does that give ya warm fuzzes or what...
