RE: [RC] Attack of the killer horse flies - Jerry & Susan MilamI have the head and neck portion of this armor and have only used it once cause it seems to create more heat and is a just one more thing to deal with before hitting the trail. I carry a fly wisk now and can generally swat most of the bad guys when I need to. If you go fast enough, they can't keep up anyway:) Susan -----Original Message----- From: ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Nancy Mitts Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2004 12:26 PM To: jwinkleman_2001@xxxxxxxxx Cc: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] [RC] [RC] Attack of the killer horse flies Jackie, To be honest, I haven't used it myself.(They do make a belly guard now, too.) It just seems like so much "stuff" to fool with. I use a "rump rug" that I make out of a heavier mesh, and just swat the flies that land on her neck. I've seen it and thought aboutbuying it,but since the belly isn't covered, it didn't know if it would really be worth it. Any pros and cons from anyone who has used one??? Thanks. The front piece coveres the neck and chestand the rearcovers the sides and rump. It's the same material as their "quiet ride" mask.
