Not sure what your post is in reference to.....
But I don't want to pass up a chance to 'brag' on hubby, Bill.
 
There are 2 "Chief Joseph" awards. 
 
The one you mention is The Chief Joseph Commemorative Award,which goes to the rider. Bill earned his 2nd Chief Joseph award in 2003.
 
The Chief Joseph Trail Ride Medallion, which is issued to eligible horses completing 10 consecutive years of each entire annual ride of the Chief Joseph Trail Ride. This ride is a non-competitive pleasure ride.
