Liquid cattle injectble is almost identical in composition to
horse oral Ivomec (Info for Merck rep.), now available as a generic and
cheap ($5-6/dose), ie pointless to inject! It is a functional equivalent
to Ivermectin paste.
DO NOT INJECT CATTLE IVOMEC INTO
HORSES!!!!!
lets try that again.

I have not heard that ivermectin has
been shown to kill ticks. It does kill the larvae of a weird
parasitic worm that lives in the neck, whose only pathological effect is to
cause an allergic reaction in some horses (itchy neck). Perhaps
someone else has info on dermatological parasites that are killed by
ivermectin?

Liquid cattle ivomec (100% ivomec, no
additives) can be given orally. I've seen some nasty abscesses from giving
it as a shot.

whole ride experience can be very hard, and at times you question why you
put yourself through such abuse. But then you remember all those moments

time stops and you can hear the angels sing. Therein lies the
