Re: [RC] scratches - Bette LamoreMost of my horses have LOTS of chrome (Halynov produced a few that could have been double registered as Pintos) and I have only had a problem with scratches once-- and that was from a horse that came to me from a famous breeder's ranch, a bay, with only one sock. My kids and I used to ride out our back door to the river bed every day--- and it gets 110 degrees sometimes here-- and we have ridden frequently at the beach and the hills at Montano De Oro. No problems at all with my guys, who are "coincidentally" predominantly Russian bred.Perhaps there could be a genetic predisposition to it. Any thoughts from the vets online? I know that a lot of people like to get finished, and get it over with. Yes, it is a lot of work.
