The ointment can be had from Tammy
Robinson at trail-rite.com . Also, I have used Cut
Heal liquid with some success. It is an interesting substance composed of
turpentine, sulfuric acid, balsam of fir and fish oil.
A friend of mines mare has
scratches (I think based on everything I've read) and she's now at my place.
From the archives, here's what I learned: * scrub all scabs off with betadine * keep DRY and clean (in that order) * here's where it's fuzzy - the ideas are many: 1).
thick layer of desitin; 2). trail-rite ointment (have no clue where to get),
3). ?
She's 'stocked up' on that
leg where she has a large scab (which I cleaned off last night and used
Nolvasan - blue - ointment on, and put ice tight and a leg wrap on, all above
the scratches area). Help (public or private) is welcome!!
