Last year my grey arab was so allergic to tick bites I had to give him allergy medicine. I ended up giving him a shot of Iver(Ivo)mec for cattle - 1mL/1cc per 100lb body weight - and it worked like a charm. No more bites. The ticks are back with a vengeance this year - looks like I'll have to do it again. Funny thing though, the ticks aren't bothering my brown burro!
