I keep a small flock of Bantys around my horse barn. They do wonders at keeping down the flies. Libby

is anyone else out there having flies  the worst ever? and ticks? i want to try those  pour on products but i am curious if there is any effect on performance with the intense - for lack of a better word - riding that endurance training entails. my reasoning is that the chemicals are absorbed into the skin at least of the horse. or it seems they would have to be in order to work for the length of time described.  any thoughts or experiences.
thanks
