Re: [RC] long /limited distance - Barbara McCrary

A 47.5 mile ride is not really legal. The rounding off to the nearest 5
miles is supposed to be used only in rides greater than 50 miles, such as
52.5 miles accepted as a 55 mile ride, etc. Remember, an endurance ride
must be 50 miles or greater.

The acutaly wording is "...not less than 50 miles..."

Bingo.

Heidi

But then we have the rule that we have to round to the nearest 5 miles, so
isn't that practically 47.5 miles or more?

I still prefer what it is that BH100, Tevis, The Duck's Soup of Endurance,
etc. has to offer...but, to see a horse canter over sand for those
distances...Good Lord, it humbles me.
