In the bylaws two events are defined.

One is an "endurance ride" which is over 50 miles in one day at a rate 
of at least 4 1/3 mph.
The other is a "limited distance ride" which is a ride of between 25 to 
35 miles at an average rate of at least 4 1/3 mph.

Just because someone tells you that your horse isn't "fit" for
endurance...doesn't mean it isn't, it just means your horse isn't fit to be
"their" endurance horse! Go for it, you never know what you'll accomplish
with that "saddle horse" or "trail horse" of YOURS!
