The 50 and 100 have people with many different goals riding. Some ride for mileage. Some ride to win. Some ride to pursue international goals. Some ride to chase points. And some ride for the shear joy of riding. That is the beauty and strength of endurance riding as defined by the AERC. There is room for each and every one of these people in the tent. Why should we exclude the riders that chose the 25 from our tent? You're kidding, right? Surely you know that the LD rides and riders have been included in the AERC "tent" for well over a decade now. The AERC has programs for both endurance rides and LD rides, and nobody wants to kick anyone out. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com ============================================================ At the end of the day maybe the definition of endurance isn't the length of the ride but rather the spirit in which it is ridden. ~ Maryanne Stroud Gabani ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
