I've started using it a while back since I was at the point with the
JBird that I was going to have to start feeding him 3X a day he was
requiring so much of what he was being fed. I've cut his feed from
close to 4 pounds twice a day to 2.5 pounds twice a day on XTN. He is
not an easy keeper. So while it is expensive it seems to be worth it.
It seem similar to Purina's new Ultima (sp?) but the XTN is a textured
feed and the Purina is a pellet. I perfer the textured.
The only down side with XTN is it is milled at their state of the art
mill in FL (as is Legacy) and I don't know if it is available other
than on the east coast.
But so far I like it. Cool design on the bag also.

I have been visiting with a Nutrena
rep, and he told me about this new feed they are launching. It sounds
like there are a few benefits for the endurance horse. High in fat,
rice bran and flax seed) low in starch, has pro bios, also beet
pulp. I have attached a link, hope it gets through. If not, you can
view info by going to www.nutrenaworld.com ,
click on products, click on FARR and then on XTN.
