Don't feel you have to defend your ride.  You did one heck of a job!!!!!  The concern about the grass was unfounded.  It had no basic of facts.  The FEI did not take anything away from the ride and did not cause any limits to the riders.  The vets were experienced and very helpful.  In fact they were the cream of the crop.  Your time in slips were a great time saver, your out timer the very best. No one had to dig into their packs looking for the vet cards.

The separation of the two rides was only a hardship when you wanted to walk down and say hi to friends at the FEI camping. Walking that short distance gave your AERC ride the best camping site.

I only made it 85 miles this year but I hope you have all of the rides next year. I will be back and thanks for a great ride.  Pat Oliva
