[RC] HELP WET HORSE - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Skyla SLStewart@xxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I personally have never hesitated, in 22 years, to blanket a wet horse. I also never had any issues with it, they either were dry later, or at worst damp and warm. If you have a blanket that will "pull" some of the moisture away, that is great. I would rather not have them shivering, given my choice. Damp and warm is still better then wet and cold. Just my experience in the NW anyhow. ============================================================ Riding alone is when you teach a horse all the "tools" and "cues" he needs to handle the trail, to hold a speed, deal with hills, etc. It's also where you develop the "bond" that causes him to "defer" to you before losing his cool. ~ Jim Holland ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
