[RC] The City needs further studies, What will they think of next - Steven Proe
Hi Folks: To me its sounds like a case of selective
prosecution, if the City proposes to force the cleanup of the "emissions" from
horses a form of transportation, then it is my opinion that the City is using
selective enforcement/prosecution if they also do not compel vehicle owners to
clean up the air and the roads for the depositing of rubber and asbestos that is
a by product of motor vehicles that apparently the City is not or has not
proposed to regulate. My thoughts are that the horses are grandfathered in their
use and housing in the City.
A interesting question comes to mind, has the City done a
"Initial Study" as a part of the CEQA process to determine the real impacts that
may occur as a result of the passage of this proposed law?

in addition, around HERE, when people need
help evacuating in the yearly fire storms, who jumps right out there on the
front lines to help people - whether they have horses or not?? The horse
owners with trailers and trucks and guts. They BETTER not tell us to pick up
after our ponies. As many times as some of us have put our butts - and
our trailers, trucks, and even lives - on the line for people who either have
horses and shouldn't :), and also for people who wanted the "rural lifestyle"
but don't have or like horses, not one of them had better ever put us in that
kind of position. sheesh!
