RE: [RC] Flex Panel Saddles - David LeBlancS. Howell whisperfeather@xxxxxxx said: I had heard that flex panel saddles can cause rubbing and sore spots on the horses shoulder areas. I was particularly interested in the Ortho-flex, etc. the stitchdown or cutback endurance models. Can anyone give me some feedback on this inquiry? There have been problems with some OrthoFlex saddles, but it is more of a breakdown than an innate problem with the saddle. I know people that have had the problem and gotten them fixed and they were fine after that. We use an Orthoflex with very good results on one of our horses. One place I would disagree with OrthoFlex's claims is that they certainly do not fit all horses. It probably fits more different horses than a solid tree saddle, but our OrthoFlex only fits one of our horses well. We also use a Reactor Panel, and I like them better because you have the advantage of a saddle made to fit the horse along with the flexible panels. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
