[RC] re: Mental riding (animal communication) - Kristi SchaafChristina - On any particular day, I may or may not believe that animal communicators can really 'talk to the animals'. On a whim with some friends once, we had an animal communicator talk to our horses. She had us in tears with some of the answers because of how close they hit to home. But in hindsight, I wonder if we read too much into her answers...at any rate, the real sticking point I have is the animal communicators tell us what our animals 'say'. Why in the world are we so self-centered that we dare think that our animals think in English?! A communicator who says she can only see pics in her head sent by an animal comes a lot closer to legitimate, if you ask me. And some of the questions CAN'T be answered in pictures. For example, my horse 'told' the communicator that he had lost his favorite horse buddy several years earlier (we actually did have to euthanize our other horse a few years back). But how in the world could my horse communicate 'several years' in a visual picture? So that's my big sticking point on the whole thing... Kristi (who apologizes for posting this, since this is getting off the topic of endurance...but when I 'think' and my horse 'does' as we're going down the trail, it demonstrates some types of communication do work! But over the phone...nah....) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Win a $20,000 Career Makeover at Yahoo!
