Hey Jim, look at all these hidden talents. Sounds good
to me. We could create a Cook Book for the Camp Fire and it'd be a hit if
we could get Barbaras' Pie Recipes. Ever heard of the El Disco? In
Mexico, the peasants take an old wore out disc from a harrow and put some legs
on it and use it for cooking over a wood fire and in memory of Discotheque
they call it El Disco. ts
This works well with bagels, which already have
the hole....especially if you're not catfishing. Add some small chunks
of cooked ham, green pepper, onion, and a little crushed garlic to the egg and
beat it all together in a bowl, then pour it in the hole. (One egg is
enough for both sides of the bagel) Breakfast-Omolette in the hole.

All this talk about snacks got me hungry and
thinking campfire breakfast recipes. In a skillet put a couple
patties of butter and melt. Take a piece of your favorite bread and
take out a hole the size of a silver dollar (roll it into a ball and
save for later) break an egg an put it in the hole (if you like your yoke
dry, beat it up) and cook the bread to liking and flip and cook until the
egg suits you. Salt and pepper to taste. Now what do you do with
that rolled up piece of bread? It can be used to catch the
catfish for supper that you've set a trout line for as you go off to do your
ride. Another untrademarked recipe from Sloppy Tomys
Carry-Out... ts
