[RC] Trail Judges/Howard - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Jeanne Pepper pepperja@xxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Hey Howard,Just for the sake of argument..I was in a TopTen place(3rd)at a ride years ago when I found myself suddenly in 5th place at the last vet check!Seems 2 VERY well-known riders had cut trail and because of their standing in the club putting on the ride and how "beloved "one of them was...no one said a word but everyone knew..my first taste of the politics involved in some AREC rides.I was pretty green at the time and in awe of the rider who had cut so was just happy to win Best Condition and never went back to that ride.Opened my eyes but didn't spoil the sport for me.Nearly 20 years later I'm still trotting down the trail and still only concerned with having a happy,healthy horse at the end of the day. ===========================================================One would think that logic would prevail.
