[RC] Ice-Tight Poultice - Lysane CreeI was wondering if anyone has used Ice-Tight Poultice and then had their horse stamp their legs and kick? My horse was doing this every few minutes and I figured all that stomping on the floor can't be helping anything, so I removed the bandages but left the poultice on to see what she would do at this point. She still kicked and stomped every few minutes. I have never experienced this with poultice. Weird. She had a minor injury, a small swollen area just above where a windpuff would be, in between the cannon bone and the tendon if looking at it from the side. Its at least 2 days old with very little, if any, heat. Not sure what happened, but she probably slipped in all of the mud outside in the pasture, or maybe caused by another horse. She is not lame but looks a little hesitant if she does a tight turn in the barn aisle. This is a partnership between horse and rider - we don't have any jockeys out there, just pals and partners. We'd allow a rider with a broken foot, a sore back and a nasty cold to compete - but we would never let a horse in a similiar condition hit the trail. ~ Dr. Barney Flemming DVM ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
