RE: [RC] [RC] Beyond Absurd - Howard BramhallWith the price of beef lately I must say I find all of this quite interesting. 12 bucks a lb for the good stuff like New York, Porterhouse or Rib Eye? Getting kind of crazy and, as much as I love beef (it used to be in my belly, now it's in my dreams), I find myself eating more chicken (cluck, cluck) and pork (oink, oink) lately. As long as beer prices stay where they are I'm a happy camper. ONe can truly survive on nothing but beer and beer alone (well, maybe some peanuts and pretzels). It's a food and a drink all in one, just as long as you're not on that Atkins diet (look how he ended up). I ride one of my horses up to the 7/11 these days, because gas prices are kind of nutso (thanks George, thanks Mr. Cheney). The law doesn't require horse insurance to use the highways, and, when I say fill er up I'm talking to the clerk and asking him to load up my saddlebag with a 20 pack of whatever beer's on sale that week. But, please, no LIte stuff. I'm in training for the LD BC award. And, on the way home, if the need hits me, I drink a beer while I'm riding (I feel that it's important for horsemen to keep up that wholesome image to the general public) and wave to all the Spring Breakers who wave, honk at me and the horse as they pass us by. I swear, one gal flashed me the other day (are those things real?) and I almost fell off my horse. "God love ya, darlin," I yelled to her, "but, I'm already spoken for. Me and my horse are kind of attached." cya, Howard From: "goearth" <goearth@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] Beyond Absurd Date: Wed, 14 Apr 2004 10:53:36 -0400 _________________________________________________________________ Check out MSN PC Safety & Security to help ensure your PC is protected and safe. http://specials.msn.com/msn/security.asp ============================================================ Arabians were bred for years primarily as a war horse and those requirements are similar to what we do today with endurance riding. ~ Homer Saferwiffle ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
