Re: [RC] Wolfes attack for fun??? - B. L. Kossowan"...there was a big push on when I lived there to kill the wolves, our town was famous for a couple of weeks as Paul Watson ( Greenpeace) and Farley Mowat followed by news cameras campaigned to save the wolves ( in which they suceeded) , one of the speeches that helped save those wolves was about how the U.S has decimated their wolf population in many areas due to groundless fear of them, and how as Canadians we should learn from that & not repeat the same mistakes.." I recall that meeting and heard about one theory being put forward that the male wolves could be neutered to check their spread and thus reduce their impact on the cattle herds, so which one old rancher offered the famous reply: "They're eating my cattle, not ***ing them." This is a partnership between horse and rider - we don't have any jockeys out there, just pals and partners. We'd allow a rider with a broken foot, a sore back and a nasty cold to compete - but we would never let a horse in a similiar condition hit the trail. ~ Dr. Barney Flemming DVM ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
