RE: [RC] [RC] howard and getting run over - Howard BramhallOh, my goodness. An apology, to me???? This is quite a first. After 4 or 5 years on Ridecamp, I've been called things from Satan Incarnate to a Complete Moron and Idiot of the First Order and here I get an apology over something that didn't bother me in the least. A phrase like "a big mouth fool" is actually a compliment to me compared to what I normally receive after accidentally setting fire to someone's tent. I guess my skin has become so thickened over the years it takes a dart shot out of a bazooka directly into my heart for me to react anymore.Anyway, Cate, I never asked for this apology and never wanted one. Your Dad was correct, I'm an old fool with a big mouth. I just cannot help myself sometimes. I don't know what to say except I'm overwhelmed and it is I who should go into lurking, not yourself. You have brought to the table an issue that really needs to be discussed. We have so many added dangers at our rides, especially the crowded ones or ones where the Ride Manager does make some errors that need to be corrected, I'd hate for you to go into permanent exhile over something like this. For once, I'm at a loss for words here. Nobody should ever be afraid to speak out, especially on a forum like this one. Sometimes the words don't come out exactly as one might have meant, but, that doesn't mean they shouldn't come out at all. Happens to me quite often. That's why I enjoy having Truman around; he's real good at explaining what I really meant to say after I've said it. cya, Howard (I have the feeling that Cate is such a sweetheart we can't afford to lose her) From: Ridecamp Guest <guest-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] howard and getting run over Date: Thu, 08 Apr 2004 02:38:15 GMT _________________________________________________________________ Persistent heartburn?
