I really need your help with this one.We purchased a 22 foot class C motor
home to go to rides in.It has all
the tow stuff and has a V 10 Ford motor. We purchased it from a really nice older
couple that went horse camping and off road motorcycling with no problems.I have a problem with my trailer hooking
up to the motor home that I do not have with our truck.I can not make sharp turns as the
trailer hits the back of the motor home. Also if you have to go through a dip the
roof of the trailer will hit the roof of the motor home. I figure the tongue on the trailer is too
short. My question is this: is a hitch
extender safe or should I just get a new trailer with a longer tongue? My trailer is a warmblood
size, G & F, steel frame, aluminum sided, 2 horse,
straight load.Out truck is a ’99,
Ford F250, V 10 , short bed. We use a standard hitch
and ball set up on the truck for towing. Please help as I am to go on
our maiden horse camping trip on Tuesday with several children. They will be heart broken if we have to cancel
due to trailer issues.However, if
I need to take 2 vehicles for safety reasons I will.Thank you in advance for your help!I know someone has had this problem
before.I really am grateful for
this list.
