Re: [RC] stick/automatic - heidi

i love when this subject comes up. this went on with another horse list
and i always notice that nobody mentions that its cheaper to replace a
clutch than a transmission.
i love sticks but quite a few people had told me, no matter how good you
drive, the horses get a rougher ride than if you tow with an automatic.
i tend not to believe them.

I don't believe that, either--it is a matter of the skill of the driver.

And yep, you're right--it is cheaper and quicker to get a clutch replaced...

Additionally, I forgot one of the most important advantages of a
stick--you can have somebody pull you to start you, or roll down a hill to
start, if you are having electrical problems! Not so with an automatic!
