He isn't with us anymore, but his books are. they are more philosophical than "how to" books, but they'll get the point across. he was one who never sold out his genuince concern for the animal for the glitz and glamour of the training circuit. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I haven't read any of Dorrance's books, but I have enjoyed the books I've read of Mark Rashid's. His books are much more about theory than step-by-step how-to manuals. I also have a friend who LOVES attending his clinics, both as a spectator and as a participant. I'd have to second the rest of Chris' stuff about the NH gurus. My personal experience with them has been generally poor, and I've never had the slightest urge to actually work with one after seeing/hearing any of them. Some of them have some good stuff to say, but just don't take it as gospel. ~Nicole ============================================================ REAL endurance is dressing for 20 degrees in the AM and by noon its 85 degrees! ~ Heidi Sowards ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
