Aluminum is not weak. All commercial aircraft are made of aluminum. All
military aircraft are made of aluminum. Aluminum vehicles when
engineered correctly have a weight to strength ratio much greater than
steel. If your systems won't work on Aluminum trailers don't you feel a
responsibility to state that?
I have nothing against your or anybody's system for that matter -
however, I reserve the right to demand to see test data on any system
I would put on my trailer (something you have not come forward with). I
am also sure Sundowner, Sooner, etc would be a little more than
disturbed at your description ( probably without any evidence ) of
aluminum trailers.
Have a nice day.

If aluminum trailer
frames are that weak and flimsy, I am glad I don't have one. I have
also heard their floors conduct way more road heat, and if they are in
an accident, the aluminum shatters and can stab the horses. Aluminum
also gets pitted and needs upkeep, just different than steel, which
needs painting.
Just an FYI: I have successfully mounted the HiTies to the fiberglass
top of the Brenderup trailer by a custom heavy-duty aluminum plate
(steel plate that size would be too heavy) that was glued inside
between the ridges of the roof panels. Then the mounting bolts were put
through that. It is in its third year of use, and still looks perfect.
