[RC] LA Times Hopkins Story: Long trail of lies - Campbell David

Ok people,
Enough bashing of Hidalgo and Disney because it is so called a true
story. The credits (if you read them) does not say it is a true story.
It says it is "based" on a true story, and Frank Hopkins did exist so it
is true. Heck, has anyone seen the movie "Hoosiers", it is a so called
true story. The only thing in common with the movie and the real
basketball team where they were both from Indiana and both won the state
championship by a last second shot, NOTHING else in the movie is true.
Movies are just that, movies. The movie "The Ten Commandments" with
Charleton (sp?) Heston is mostly fabricated. The only thing in common is
Moses parted the Red Sea and brought the people out of Egypt, a few
other things refer to bible scriptures but mostly all fabricated.
Hollywood has always taken a fact and made fiction from it, which is why
it is called Hollywood. Go see a movie for what it is; a movie. Off my
soapbox
David L. Campbell
