Re: [RC] cool helmets - sharon1359I have no idea why they aren't approved. I called SEI a while back, and they said they're not allowed to say whether particular helmets are in the process of being approved or not. However, there are three models by LAS that ARE approved, just not the ones that Steve sells (as far as I can tell). The ones that are approved are the Super Prince, the Super Master, and the Vega Y... but Steve sells the Hi-Tek Art 180 and the Maxleger Art 169. I might be interested in the LAS helmets if they were approved, but I can't buy one if they're not because my CTR organization (ECTRA) has a rule that all riders must wear SEI-Approved helmets. The current list of SEI-Approved helmets is at http://www.seinet.org/CPL/astm116301.htm if you would like to check it out. -Sharon K. ============================================================ REAL endurance is eating egg salad sandwiches for 3 days straight! ~ Heidi Sowards ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
