Re: [RC] [RC]cavessons - Patsy DavisI use a cavesson on my mule, Sally, to keep her from putting her tongue over the bit. It's a habit she had when I got her and the only sure way to keep her from doing it is with a cavesson. It isn't tight enough to keep her from grabbing bites of grass or drinking, though, just snug enough to keep her tongue in place. I ride her with a gag bit but she does it any kind of bit I've tried her with.
