I was gonna say:

Walk: Away from home towards steep mountain trail 1.5 mph
Walk: Away from steep mtn. trail headed towards home 5mph

Trot: Away from home towards steep mountain trail. 4mph
Trot: At the start of an endurance ride: 15 mph

Canter: Very difficult to guage, since we only pass the canter phase in a
nanosecond on our transition from 15 mph trot to dead runaway.
