Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

A number of folks have been afflicted by a synchronization problem in the
classifieds distribution list.

The symptom is: 

1) you go to
http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/logon.asp
and logon.
2) it says:

Ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: UNSUBSCRIBE Classifieds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: UNSUBSCRIBE

which would indicate that you're already subscribed (because by clicking you would "unsubscribe"). 
but, unless you've been receiving messages with the subject: [Classifieds] , you are not REALLY
subscribed.

The first thing to try to fix the problem is to "toggle" the subscription. i.e. "unsubscribe", and then the screen would look like:

Ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: UNSUBSCRIBE Classifieds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: SUBSCRIBE

and then "subscribe" again, so the screen looks like:

       Ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: UNSUBSCRIBE
           Classifieds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: UNSUBSCRIBE

again. then wait for a day. you should be  recieving classifieds postings. 

if not, take a couple of asprin for the pain and send me email:)

  http://www.endurance.net/classifieds/

(pps. if you post a message to classifides@xxxxxxxxxxxxx, it just goes to me (b/c it's a moderated list) and I would just go to the classifieds page and post the ad, so you may as well do that and not wait for me:)

(ppps. I think the "out of synch" problem is a carry over from when ridecamp died it's first death a few years ago so will mainly effect those that have been on the trail awhile.)
