[RC] Gaited thread-Tevis - Sue WalzDana,I believe Julie Suhr finished 2 of her Tevis's on her Peruvians. The year our Kentucky Mtn Horse, Odom's Raven, finished Tevis, so did a TWH, Copy's Shabette. That was 2001, Raven's coming back this year to attempt the 50th Tevis! I've taken 2 years off with him from endurance developing healthy bare feet with the Strasser Method: http://www.TheHorsesHoof.com We'll be doing 4 Oregon rides with Raven & then we'll head down to Auburn & give Tevis a go! Raven is gaiting so much better barefoot! No more pacing, just a steady, neverending 4 beat!
Given the recent thread about gaited horses, have any other gaited horses successfully completed Tevis besides Marinera and Raven, the Mountain Horse?? I'm curious, as I have Paso Finos and hope to do the Tevis with one one day. Dana B.
