Re: [RC] Best saddles for under $1000 - DESERTRYDR1These days the Big Horn endurance model also comes in regular and wide Flex-Tree. I have seen the Circle Y western version in the tack store, and also the Tex Tan western version of the Flex Tree, but not the Big Horn. The Circle Y version has enough flex that you can bend it from front to back with your bare hands. The Tex Tan version doesn't have that much flex. Haven't seen the Big Horn version, so I can't say. Thought about ordering one for my mule, who has withers, but then a typical mule (straight) back, but I don't want to get it and find it has very little flex like the Tex Tan. Has anyone tried one? I am thinking maybe just go treeless, but then I HATED the only sport saddle I ever sat in. Tried it on my Arab girl for a ride, and ended up pulling it off and riding bareback because it was such a COUCH. jeri =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
