Re: [RC] [Guest] Training Centers/Pres - Truman PrevattI believe in the UAE the same racing commission that controls TB racing controls endurance racing. It is racing pure and simple. That's not either good or bad, but just how they view it. It is clearly not how many of us in the US and Canada view it. Who is right and who is wrong - neither. It looks to me that we may have a bifurcation (yes Lynne that's not a typo - I don't have any problems with the technical words ) in our sport. We have been dancing around this for several years but maybe we should face it head on - and the AERC should face it head on. I personality don't have a problem with the type of long distance races the UAE is pushing. It is not endurance riding as we know and love it. Would I participate - no, but that is my choice. Would I propose forbiding others to participate - no, the last time I checks we live in a free society. Can these two forms of endurance coexist - only time will tell.
