[RC] weather for TX Grasslands 100/FEI ride - JonniOur weather Monday, through Tuesday here in North Texas is not real fun. It is in the teens, with sleet/freezing rain and snow falling. Mid week they think some rain, and warmer temps. BUT, by Saturday, they say we will have highs in the mid 50's, and mid 30's at night.(and hopefully no precipitation) This is a fairly fast course, so hopefully not many riders will have to deal with the low night time temps too long. I understand Sue and Vonita, the managers of the ride are already over there checking trail, and preparing for the ride. Burrrr, what a cold night they are having. We have about 2-3" of sleet on the ground (sleet being more packed than snow). It has been falling for about 12 hours now. That is dedication to be camping in this weather to put on a ride! If you are coming to the ride, feel free to e-mail me for the latest weather in our area. I live about 8 miles as the crow flies from camp. Don't forget, volunteers are always needed at rides...especially if the weather IS less than perfect. (some wimp out and stay home...don't understand why!)
