RE: [RC] Training Facilities (was too quiet) - John Teeter> How can anyone explain what is seen on line such as the multitude of vehicles around the horses?House rules?? It is certainly something that should be dealt with. I imaging for the most part, I can imagine its a pretty big distraction for the riders too - pretty dusty -- pretty noisy -- not pretty. That kind of thing, while it's the local custom, it doesn't belong in FEI competitions (ref: the FEI rules you point out.) I wonder what accommodations will be made for the 2004 World Championships. In the 1998 WEC in Dubia, they officially in limited number I think (of course there was that pesky helicopter providing air cover....:) I also saw a guy pull a saddle from one of the front runners horses b/f they entered the vet gate (maybe 10 feet or so b/f entering). They had all been loosening girths but the poor guy loosened it too much and it kind of came off the horse. Good for a DQ if one were to strictly enforce... johnt (p.s. a dead fish just lays there and... it was a southern thing that Truman threw up there. I can't think of NW throwing a deadfish on the table .... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
