Re: [RC] CRI history - Heidi SmithIIRC, Dr. Steele came up with the idea of taking serial heart rates (Something like arrival at the hold, 5 minutes, 10 minutes), and using percentage recovery as an indicator of fitness. Dr. Ridgway refined it into the current CRI , which made it a bit more practical for ride use. --CMnewell, DVM FWIW, that's my recollection as well, Charlotte. I remember having Jim Steere come speak at PNER many years ago, and having him talk about serial recovery.
