Ah! But here's the trick. If the world were getting new riders in the 
rather more laid back traditions of the US, Australia, the UK, and 
other parts of Europe that would be fine.  I made the effort to go to 
the Pan Ams when I was in the US and I saw the sort of ride you 
envision.  If you go to a ride in the Middle East you will see 
something else entirely.  We are comparing apples and dates here.
