I did not start at the North Americans in Kananaskis as a result of a blood test. My horse had tied up 3 weeks prior - the blood test showed that her muscle enzymes were still slightly elevated. Funnily enough, most of the pulls on that ride were tie ups. I was devastated that we could not start but in retrospect glad that we didn't! Glad to see more rides (mostly FEI) where testing is becoming the norm.
